Caged peaks
No words to express
These veins filled with rage
Breathless surrender
To cracked bones spilling grief
The bell tower’s solemn ring
Towering above the meadow
Caged by ridged peaks
Rain drawing pools
Reflecting darkened skies
Bell’s keeper know not the time
Yet filled with urgency,
He rings louder
Villagers outside cannot hear
An entire town born deaf
Eyes blind to a man
Who, by scarred lead lines
Warns of the incoming battle
For lives, for worth, for love
